My stock 350 intake is leaking. I'll be darn-didly-arned if I'm gonna put that big cast iron beast back on. I'm gonna put an add in the parts wanted section for one soon. So which one do I want? Anyone bolt one on with positve results? Poston????? T/A?????
I have a T/A, although I did a bunch of other mods at the same time, so I don't know about results. From previous posts my impression is the Poston one isn't up to par.
I have a poston intake that I scored for dirt cheap. I have incresed power from 3000 up, but throttle response seems a little soft versus stock intake. If I were paying full price I would have gone with a TA but for $75 I'm not gonna complain. That thing is a tank to move arond by yourself. Thank god for the air cleaner support bracket.
i have the t/a also. it seems to pull a lot harder then stock. but have nothing else to compair it to. i was gonna go with poston but a bunch of people on the board talked me out of it. does anyone know much about poston headers? pete
Dan, I can speak from experience with both the poston and the TA intake for the 350. I had Postons first, then by suggestions from Scotty at PeeGee performance, when he rebuilt the motor I switched to TA's,This was back in '94,, I believe your better off with the TA intake, and from what Ive learned, heard, seen by other 350 owners TA is the way to go,you won't be disappointed:Smarty:
MY Iron intake with some port work supported 12.2 times in a 3600+ lb car.........I think some people will agree that there are GOOD alum.. intakes for our 350 engines but nothing GREAT, as of YET anyway Come on with those aluminum heads and a better intake SOMEONE
edelbrock intake Is the edelbrock intake worth its salt? I'm preparing to dump the stock intake as well!
Chris we all learn one way or another. Also we can forgive you for your lack of knowledge, Maybe someone else thought the same as you and they can read it and be corrected!:beer
