Bucket seats ...will they work?

I just found a decent set of bucket seats in a '71 Riviera. I want buckets for my '70 GS (Skylark). Does anyone know if these use the same seat frames?

I plan on replacing the seat cushions and covers etc. I want "correct" for my GS not just something that can be made to work.

    Thanks,

steve, i feel certain that the frames are different. i would keep searching for A body seats, preferably 70 GS /skylark. i think 69-72 "A" body GM all have the same frames, i'm thinking 68 had the release buttons on the side instead of the center of the back as 70 had.

    Steve,

I sent you a PM about bucket seat cores.

Thanks for the quick replies. After further reading it looks like Riviera seats have a larger frame than the A-body seats.

I am going to keep searching.

    Dustin you have a PM.

Steve, there is a guy who goes by CSquare43 on RealOldsPower looking for a set of buckets for a 72 Delta 88. Since they won't work for you, those 71 Riv seats might be just the ticket for him. See the thread here. Why don't you shoot him the info on these seats?
