Whats more confortable???I have buckets and when cornering, since they are flat , you tend to slide on them! Buckets sure does look cooler, but when confort is in line.....not sure...and bench with armrests looks to be very confortable?...

in these older cars, bench seat with a fold down armrest is probably the most comfortable, but you are right, buckets are the "coolest"!

I have a bench seat and my arse slides back and forth. Everytime I wish I had buckets, but I'm not about to make that swap.

I'm sure if you wanted to go to bench there would be plenty of people willing to trade. I think bucket/console cars are much more appealing, but the great thing about it being your car is you can have it your way.

I really like my bench with armrest, but I am planning on converting to buckets. Got the seats and new covers, just need to get started on it, eventually.

This is a pic of my 71 GS350 Convertible which had been converted at some time I guess. It is not an SCO car per se, but the column was changed to and all the details done correctly. Very rare I think to have a 71 with buckets/console so I guess the previous owner really wanted buckets.

The seller nor I knew it was a rare beast, so I just got lucky.

The first time I took a car on the street was my Dad's 77 Ford LTD with cloth bench seats. He was teaching me to drive.
On my first corner I slide over to the passenger side & bumped into him. Had to put on the seat belts. (Of course, I didn't know how to corner or how to sit while driving).

I had wanted buckets in my 'Lark for a long time, but I'm sticking with the bench (would love to get a split-bench with armrest). Bench seats up front do have advantages.

guys, i have owned cars with bench seat, split bench, bucket seats with material coverings of cloth, vinyl, leather. my choice is bucket seats in leather. my 72 gs is bucket seated in vinyl. my 98 gs is bucket seat in leather & heated(do not use) and they are comfortable. the leather bucket seats in a 90 bonneville were the best i have ever sat/drove in.
