Hi, I just picked up a set of buckets I believe to be from a 66 corvair. They look just like 64 65 A body seats. (except the inner chrome spear is painted)
My question is I would like to redo them and put in my 65 Skylark but before I order the covers and foam I want to be sure they are the right seats. Any one have any knowledge about the right buckets and the best place to order covers? (price and quality) Thanks Paul

Paul, if you set them in your A-Body you will find that they are a litlle to wide & will hit up against the tunnel.

Thanks for responding. Someone told me that the early years on the Corvair were wider (maybe 62 63 64) but the later ones like 66 were not. Does that make any sense? I still have the bench in so I guess I'll have to try and measure for now. Thanks Paul.

    Makes sense, I had a set from a 64 corvair & they will not fit a 65 a-body.

Frank I took a measure and it looks like the seats are about 23 to 24 inches across at the widest point which would allow for a 6 inch console. I am not sure how wide the console is at the point between the seats. It does not look like there would be any problem with the mounts. My main concern is would the Skylark covers fit. Thanks for listening, Paul
