Hello All: My brother in law Ray, the one who gave me my Wildcat for my birthday last year, is going in for heart surgery to replace a failing valve tomorrow. I wold really appreciate any prayers from the members for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for him. I can't tell you what he, and my wife's family mean to me. All prayers, regardless of denomination or religion are appreciated and welcomed. Thank you.
Still waiting to hear. since the Corona Virus the hospitals are on lock down. He is single so no wife to ask. His sister lives in Edmonton where the hospital is so she will be the one to inform us. Update as I was writing this. Ray is out of surgery and laughing with the nurses. Thank you for prayers. Now for the recovery. Chuck
I didn’t realize I was praying after the fact till I scrolled down lol Very happy y’all were blessed with a successful surgery & pray for a full and complete recovery : )
Thank you all. Right now Ray is enjoying his medication, but I remember that the next 3 months are going to be difficult for him. But the worst part, the scary part, is over.
Thoughts and prayers. The fact that his attitude is good is a huge positive. Technology is so great anymore. Hope recovery goes smoothly.
Ray is up walking, slowly, around the ward. Seems to be doing really well. Thank you for your prayers.
Ray gets to come home tomorrow. Going to be a long drive for him, it is 3 hours from Edmonton to Beacon Hill (6 houses, 12 chickens and a rooster, small place). But, for Ray, it is home. At least the fact thatthey are releasing him so soon is good news. I am heartily relieved.
Well, Ray is home and seems well. He is not allowed to lift more than 10 pounds (4 KG). He is having trouble following instructions, but his Mom is firm. My wife is a nurse, so she is on him too, from a distance, COVID-19 you know.. I am glad to see him. He came over yesterday to our trailer to look at the car. I showed him what I have done and the parts and paint I have with me. After 5 minutes, he looked up and said "It looks like I gavethe car to the right person." That really made me feel good. I didn't realize just how stressed I was about his surgery, until I saw him walking around. I don't know what I would do if something happened to one of Jen's family. I wan stymied doing anything right now, rain. When I clears up on Monday I can get started with the stripping. I can't wait.
Thank you for all the prayers and support. Ray is moving around well and has a good supply of energy. Now to stop him from over-doing it.
