I have recently reassembled my engine and upon setting my lifter preload I dicovered one of the "allen" adjusters in my rockers is sheared in half. :(

Anyone know the easiest way to get a replacement for this piece. The rockers are Poston items that I purchased about 10 years ago. The shipping for this item would prolly be more than the cost of the part. That is IF Poston sells them separately.

Any help or advice will be appreciated.:TU:

I know Poston used to sell TA rockers. I bought mine from them in 92. They are red & say TA on them. I ordered 1 roller tip & 16 adj. screws for mine recently from TA. They sell them individually. I don't know if you're rockers would be the same. I think that is around the same time they went with their own rocker.

Mine are the Poston rockers....Blue and Gold. I was going to e-mail them, but they don't seem to have e-mail??? I don't think I have ever seen a company with a website and an on-line catalog and on-line ordering that did not have a link for customers to e-mail them..?? :puzzled: Weird!!??

I guess I'll have to make some calls. I was hopeing I could sustitute a piece from a more popular make, like a Ford or Mopar.

TA has some, but don't think I would feel right putting TA pieces in a Poston product.

Poston's catalog says their adjusters are 7/16ths but I don't think mine are that big (old set). I will have to take a closer look. If they are 7/16ths I guess I could use TA's pieces. Can't find any info on this on Poston's site. Makes me mad that they don't have an e-mail link on their website. :puzzled:

We went through a similiar problem on a 72 GS 455 we did. 12 of the 16 adjusters were BROKEN. We got new adjusters from TA and the problem was solved. (the rocker arms were not TA's, they were gold colored but I forget the name on them.) The noise it made had us VERY worried.
If one is broken, replace them all.

Finally called Poston...and after about 10 min on hold, the girl said they don't have just the adjustors. She did give me the name and # for a place to get them. T&D Machines 775-884-2292.

I will prolly just go with the TA pieces, they ARE the same size. But they are $7.00 a piece  Seems a little steep. They don't even come with new lock nuts.

    Oh well.
