My 67 skylark was missing the radio antenna and tear drop bezel though the portion that was inside the fender was there. Yesterday, while cleaning out the pass side door lock mechanism (and general clean-out inside the door) I found the bezel inside the door (!). So I took a closer look at what I have on the fender. Looks like the portion that the antenna mast screws into is there, but the mast seems to have broken off flush. Should I attempt to get it out or is it toast? If I am successful, looks like I will need a mast and a nut. Would also like to get an AM/FM version of the Sonomatic vs. the AM version that's there now. Byas
http://www.buickfarm.net/ They have the new parts you need. I think I would start putting penetrating oil on the broken piece and keep doing it for a while, as many times a day as you can. Maybe by the time you have the parts you will be able to get it out somehow. Mike
I did put some penetrating oil a day or so ago. Then, last evening, I found out that the broken piece just unscrewed when I pushed on the top with my finger and rotated. Good break! Will get the mast & nut now. B
