    Hi Guys
I took my brakes apart on my 72 GS and noticed that the bottom of the spindles where the bearing goes has .0015 wear, it does not go all the way around the shaft just the bottom, I guess this is normal for a 34 year old car, will this be ok to rebuild? a friend of mine who drag races said it would be ok what do ya'll think? thanks ROBBY :Do No:

ROB how would you rebuilt it only two ways i can think of one weld up the area and grind it back to size( that will put heat into once treated metal not a good idea you could snap a spindle LOL or two use a product like bearing tight(sold by locktight) it fills the gap and hardens or you could get some shim stock 005 rap it around the spindle and slide the bearing on i would try either of the last two cause ive seen them both work and they can,t hurt anything or do the right thing replace them (but that is costly huh) lots of luck pete
