I recently noticed that my brake pedal rubber with the disc brake disc in the middle had cracked from top to bottom on my A body. I bought a new set of replacement pads which came with the regular pedal and emergency pedal rubber. I am sure it will be easy to get the old stuff off but is there a secret in getting the new stuff on?

I would not put grease anywhere near a brake pedal. Heat the rubber up somehow like placing it on a heater. The aftermarket E brake pads are not like originals at all. Original had no letters.

Put the top on first and just pull down to get the bottom on. I never had any problem getting new ones on with my bare hands and no lube.

I switched the pads off of my lease Silverado. Much better than the worn smooth original.
