Brake pedal pad replacement

    :Dou: Need to replace the brake pedal pad on my '72 Skylark
    (drum/no power brakes) pedal is wore down to the metal! 144K
    Any tips or advice on replacement would be greatly
    appreciated. Any special tools needed?

    it should come right off . just scrape the remaining rubber and glue . spray a good amount of spray adheasive or 3m weather strip adheasive on the pedal and in the back of the pad . stretch /wrap it on ond go . yet give it some time to dry

    Just about all the reproduction parts suppliers sell them--I know Year one and Cars Inc have them.

    Got an upgraded brake pad pedal

    Thanks for the good advice and info....
    Old pad came right off....installed new pad as recommended.

    P.S. The supplier sent the wrong pad (sent) one for disc brakes
    with a chrome center....looks sharp....a keeper!
