I'm still desperately searching for an aluminum front brake drum/wheel hub for my 1970 GS 455. No luck at local or regional junkyards.

Thanks to those who have already responded.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Here's a set I may bid on myself. Prolly shooting myself in the foot but click here

    Drums

I have a pair of really nice ones but you might be able to buy the ones from ebay for what I have in mine. If you miss these give me a shout.

Just wondering, what's the difference between front and rear drums??

    Difference

Everything! First the front drums are wider, so if you used a rear drum the drum would not covering the full width of the shoe. Secondly the front drums have the hub riveted to them but this could be drilled out. If you are running drum brakes on a fast Buick you need all the braking you can get.
    Thanks

Man, you guys are ON IT! Thanks for the replies.

Gymracer, how much do you want for yours; I'd hate to bid against someone nice enough to send me that link!

p.s., Doo Wop, if you happen to only need one, I'd buy one from you... I only need one, but after this experience, I'd be glad to have a spare lying around!

Gymracer, that ebay bid is up to $52/the pair. Let me know what you're looking for.

    Thanks!

    Drums

Hate to say it but I got a $150. in mine and like to have never found good ones. I don't have plans to use them as drum barkes just don't cut it on a fast or heavy Buick. If you'll are only needing one each you need to go for ebay.
    Thanks

    Gymracer,

I'm still interested. Never had luck at "bidding" on ebay, and would hate to just bid them up against Doo Wop. Go ahead and shoot me a price.
