I finally found another place to refinish my brake booster; I should have it back in a day or so. I purchased a rebuilt master cylinder from PepBoys, with the correct top, who would have thunk it.

Anyway, I was wondering if I should replace the guts inside the unit, everyting looks good enough; but, I heard that they sell rebuild kits for it. I checked with my local NAPA store and they did not have it. I did not check the other places yet, just checking to see if anyone has recently bought a kit.

    Let me know.

Here's a photo of the refinished brake booster. The booster cost $30.00 to replate, the master cylinder was $17.00 (remanufactured with the new top).

looks good!--what did you do about the "insides"?? Were you ever able to locate new parts, etc? Thanks

    Thanks for the compliments.

The insides were in really good/clean shape. I just cleaned them up and reinstalled them. If Ihave a problem in the future, I'll just buy new rebuilt booster and swap the insides. Advance Auto had the correct booster and master cylinder setup without the correct finish (no Delco marking) for around $ 100.
