bracket puzzle

    I have a 72 riv im putting buckets console .I had a parts car i took all this stuff from,took all the floor brackets off but diddnt mark them! The part's car hade A body style seats(power driver). My car has a power split bench(differn't brackets) My question is do these A body brackets bolt to the split bench brackets? or? need some help. joe

    That's an interesting question Joe. I'm interested to see if anyone knows for sure.

    The difference in our floor pans would lead me to say "no", but you never know for sure.

    And I had to fab console brackets for my 69 on a whim. They don't have to be exact, they just have to work.

    A-body brkts weld to the floor. The conversion on A-body models from bench to buckets, relocates the outer front mounting point 1" inward. Welded brkt to the floor for this point. The two inner mounts (closest to d-shaft tunnel) welds to the floor. A correct repro kit consists of 4 brkts, 2 are the inner mounts and 2 are for the outer front mounts.
