Just booked my stay @ the Mayfair Inn. Closest motel to Beech Bend (not a lot of parking for big trailers). Old school place but adequate (stayed there last year for the 1st time). $70/night (plus tax). Owner (Gary I think he said) said prices will probably go up as it gets closer but tell him I sent you (Dan Richter) & he'll honor the price. No credit card required to book. Just a name/phone #. They also have 1 BR apartments w/full kitchen that rent for $450/week. Nice guy. Local small business. He and his wife run the place & clean the rooms themselves.
