Just got a call from the credit card company, Someone (cleaning lady) stole her credit card out of her purse and racked up over a grand in an hour and twenty minutes!!! First big trip with friends- didn't work out to good! At 3:08 today was the first charge , 7 charges later the card company stopped it at 4:30. If things aren't bad enough lately, Low lifes have got to do stuff like that.. AAARRRRRGGHHHHHHH:blast: :blast: :blast: :blast:
I'm sure this could have happened anywhere. Even in the midwest. Boston is one the nicer cities to visit. I know your upset, but your "Boston Sucks" statement is not cool.:spank:
If you already know it was the cleaning lady she won't get far, and cardholders don't have to pay for stuff like that. It may be a little inconvient for a day or two, though. Bummer.
Never been to Boston and not a fan of their politics or any city of that size but I have to go along with the others and say it could have happened anywhere. There is at least one dirt ball in an unskilled labor job that will take advantage of opportunity when they see it most anywhere you go.
First of all... Dorchester is not the best part of Boston... it's the type of place if you go poking around there looking for trouble...they will find you in pieces... Boston is a very Historic City and there are pleanty of fun and interesting things to do there.. as far as her card getting ripped off...that could have happened anywhere in the world.. does suck tho..

Put them up at The Ramada in a good part of town just to keep them safe. Both girls left there purses in the room , just took there ID and some cash.(Thinking it would be safer in the room)Kids left for the day on the 11:30 hotel shuttle to ride the subway into town. Looks like the maid took the extra room key- went into the room- took the card- went on a shopping spree at Bay somthing mall area around the 93freeway. first charge started at 3:08 last at 4:30 when the card company shut it down. CVS,Best Buy,Target,Marshalls 7 charges in an hour and twenty minutes. Was on the phone with the hotel and the manager when she says, are you sure there all in town.Because the key activity shows someone just entered the room. ( 5:45pm )Called my daughter and they where still a half hour away. Got back and security escorted them to the room and the card was back in the purse!!!!! Hotel is being cool, but Boston Police ??? They're not in a big hurry, Basically said - are you going to want to drive back 12 hrs to prosecute -they don't want to waste a lot of time.:af: DO YOUR JOB AND I"LL BE WHEREVER I NEED TO BE ! -----I make friends everywhere..:laugh: I need to learn not to be so shy.
Tim I dont blame you for being upset and saying what you did.I would say the same.The fact that the cops do not want to do much about it shows it sucks also.The clam chowder I had out there does not suck though.:laugh: Columbus Ohio also sucks big time.My 8 day old new 2006 crw cab dually 4 wheel drive truck was taken and over 3 years later the ahole that took it has not been sentenced.When we as decent people are wronged we are entitled to voice our oppinion even if the pussies don't feel warm and cozy by it.:blast:

This is one of the more entertaining forums on V8Buick. :beer That sucks about the credit card, but truthfully, a wallet or my wife's pocketbook never remains in any hotel/motel room when we are not in it. You can't trust anybody. This thread is just further proof of that. As far as the Boston Police go, I am not surprised on their cavalier comments.
Before you blame Boston, I can almost guarantee thief was not from this country? Did they make any charges to Carribean or Central America???
What Ramada was it if it was the one on 93 they do drug and prostitution stings there regularly, not a good area at all!

If travelocity recomended a hooker hangout I'm going to be pissed. Cause I prefer to pick up my crackheads from the bar like everyone else..... The little dots only show about 1 mile apart though- doesn't look good either way.o No: Very frustrating if I sent my daughter to crackville, for her first big trip with friends. I could of just let her drive an hour east , and let her wander the streets of Detroit for this outcome !

wish I had seen this earlier , Dirty Dot is NOT the place to be going to hang out especially for St. Patty's Day festivities , they should have been downtown or in southie if they really wanted some fun. Dorchester is only a step above Roxbury , WHITE people aren't very welcome ... no offense to the non caucasion members of the group....
