Is there one or two rings under this? I don't believe the retainer clips have ever been removed. How should this be done if wanting to replace the boot?(this one is original and ruined/stiff) TIA jess in ky
Thanks Rick, I thought it looked like there was a thicker ring under the boot. I think I am going to try to use a mini Dremel saw and cut the inner claws off the retainer clips so as not to put any stress on what is left of the pins. Gotta look for some suitable replacements first. thanks, jess in ky
You can pull those clips off with pliers or pry with a small flat screwdriver. Most hardware stores sell those clips in the hardware aisle
