I have what I beleive is a 66 power booster with its push rod hooked onto my 67 master cylinder on my 67 lark. Do I need to change the push rod to a shorter 67 rod? The 66 seems to bottom out in the 67 master cyclinder, and if I remember right the 66 was shorter. If I do need to swap it out the only one I have is from a manal brake 67 car, would that work or are the rods for 67 different on power and manual brake cars? Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Brad.:idea2:

Brad it is very hard to tell what your setup is from your post SORRY but i couldnt decieded what to tell you BUT lets try it this way I did a like swap and had a problem similar to yours //// what i finally did was /// mounted the booster //useing the longest rod(itstuck out about an inch then i sat the master on the mounting studs and pushed it on as far as it would go//////i then measured that distance and cut the rod 1/16 inch shorter////////what you want is a slight bit of play before the booster starts to apply the master //////HOPE this helps pete

rereading my post, it is confussing... What I have is a 67 skylark that was a manual brake car. I added a 66 power booster. The rod on the 66 power booster seems to long, it bottoms out in the master cylinder.

Your answer did help Pete, thanks. Brad.
