Hey there, I'm getting a little more serious about the body work on my 70 skylark. i'm deffinately an amature.. I've done my rear quarters once, and wasn't happy. This time around i've learned a few tricks,(block sanding, glazing putty, wetsanding)

I guess what i'm hoping for is if someone could post some before, durring, and after pics. Posibly showing each step in process.. I keep hearing about using a sealer betweet primer and paint,? this is the kinda stuff i need to learn more about... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Heres my quarter today... Car will soon be White with a flat black hood.!

David, here's a link to two pages of my GS. It has some body work shots on it. Big Red

One of the main things to remember is don't try and get a dent straight in one shot. It might take two or three applications of bondo to slowly work the dent out. Get it smooth and run the palm of your hand over the work feeling for waves. If there's a wave, add another coat, expanding further out and start sanding again.

The sealer coat you've heard about is put on to reduce the chance of moisture in the air starting to rust the bare metal before you get the body work done and primered. I've never used it, but it does make some sense. Feel free to drop me a line.
