How in the world do u stop the body roll. Mines cocked up so bad sunday past that it took the driver side spring out of its seat. that is what caused me to destroy everything from the fly wheel back. Some said put an air bag in the right side spring and it would help.

Sway bars...? Or are you talking about drag racing?

I'm assuming you mean the twisting contortion these GBody's make when launching? You popped a driver's rear, right?

You can try to put a limiting strap on the driver's side rear. 25 psi in pass side air bag will help, but not fully cure the problem. A rear sway bar will help some as well. Roll bar adds additional help. From what stuff I hear from others, an HR Parts or Wolfe Racecraft type of rear bar may be what you're looking for.

Get a Race "anti-roll bar." Not a sway bar. THis is a weld in item that mounts above your rearend and connects to your rear by adjustable links which will alow you to pre load the rear also. It is very stiff and will just about eliminate all the twist. Summit sells a Competition Engineering Universal anti roll bar for $245.95 Part #CEE-2041. THere are other companies that make them so I can't tell you who has the best. Robert at Auto tech does fabrication and installation of this stuff if you need and if he can't get to it He'll direct you over to Tim(can't remember his new shops name) on Cumberland RD. who does does nothing but custom race cars. Good luck. Sorry to hear about the carnage.

Some other things not already mentioned...

One item is the G-force cross member. The factory unit, particularly when modified for dual exhaust, has very little strength and will let the car twist quite a bit.

Next, you can tie your front frame rails together with braces from any 78-87 Grand Prix. To reduce the rear twist you can brace the rear frame rails in a similar fashion with your own custom fab bar.

www.HRpartsNstuff.com anti-roll/swaybar, trust me! this thing works! Bolt in deal 2 hrs. or less, all hardware, instructions are super easy to read, color pics, it's a breeze!
this was done to my gs car but they are available for the GN cars and work awsome,

Rick is correct mentioning the weld in anti roll bar, these are great as well, but this new bar that Paul has developed from HRpartsNstuff is the same theroy, different approach.

    Bruce,
Did you experience any interference problems in using the HR anti roll bar with a full 3'' exhaust system or is there plenty of room? How much did your 60 fts decrease?
    Thanks,
    Keith

Keith, they will clear the exhaust, from what Paul has told me, I currently am no running exhaust over the axle, stops just before the axle, 60 foots around 1.48 /1.50 used to be 1.54/60 foot

Paul will be at Norwalk, and you could bolt it in at the track, just bring a drill and measuring tape, some general tools, Paul even includes the correct drill bit in the kit!
