block drain plug help?

    okay, so on the block on the driver side there is a wingnut type thing that is threaded into the block, it is to drain the coolant am i right? wel we put coolant in and the fluid is coming out of it. what do we do? we tightened it down, and its left hand thread, correct? well any help would be nice. thanks

    Any drain cocks I've used are closed by turning clockwise. You'll wind the stem out which seals the hole.

    If it is in the freeze plug it's the block heater.
