Black type I shorty console

Looking to buy one of Jamie McClinton's new mini-starters so I'm selling one of my spare shorty consoles. This one is an original black (not repainted) type I shorty console (Buick emblem on top). Correct for mid 1965 to 1970 on Skylark, GS, and Rivieras (I think Wildcats could use them also), but can also be used on 1971-72 (they used the same shorty console but with a pushbutton instead). This is a nice driver condition console - no cracks in the base, a one inch seperation in the top seam and a one inch circle missing of the top material. The Parts Place reproduces the top in black (excellent quality as well as I have one on the shorty console currently in my Buick). Buick emblem has good color. The chrome is in nice driver condition - shiny but has some small pits and some wear. Inside the console someone must have put something very hot - droplight? which melted a portion of the bottom. It did not go through but caused some bubbling - only noticeable if you open the console and look on the bottom - which you could cover with material if you wish. Price is $180 shipped in the U.S.

 

possibly interested.not sure,but did they use them in 4 speed with buckets?? 1970? how much to ship to 54313? thanx.

 

Yes. I believe they used the Type 2 in 1970.
