One of our local news stations last night was doing man in the street interviews asking the question, (I'm paraphrasing)
"Do you believe Osama Bin Laden has been killed?"
One person answered, "Yeah! That's what I read on Facebook!"

Appeared to be all UofM college students they were asking.

Sometimes details are glossed over in operations like this simply because you don't tell your enemies exactly how you got it done.

Vince Flynn, who lives in the Twin Cities here, was on a local radio station yesterday talking about this. Vince writes the Mitch Rapp series of novels, which are fictional stories based on exensive research he has done on counterterrorist units of the US Military and the CIA. He has very good contacts in that arena. I have read every one of his books, they are very good. So much so that he met George W Bush here in the early 2000's when he was in office, and the first question the president asked him was "who have you been talking to".

His version of how that operation actually went down is probably a lot closer to the truth of the whole thing, than anything you hear on CNN or Fox news. Or from any pundant/politician who is looking to get some face time on TV.

And all this time I was thinking maybe the conflicting stories were being thrown out there to protect the source of information that led to the raid. But hey what do I know?

We DO have to wait for all the intel to come in. Obama didn't lie as you pointed out. It's all these reporters racing to be the ONE w the newest info racing to get the lead. Shot in the chest and eye? 2 to the dome? Wife as a shield? o No: Truthfully as long as he's dead,I can wait weeks or months for the second by second run through. I wonder, if in 20 years, we can see the REAL TIME video takin from the Seals helmet cams.:TU:

I think that you are absolutely right Jim. I took the tour in the building where Kennedy was shot from. When you looked out the window and seen how close it was, you or me could have made that shot. The grassy knoll was so close to the building it was ridiculous. 1 man 1 gun did the job.

 

I would like to see the real time video. I bet it was intense. Your pictures are just great man. Totally a gut buster.

 

Jim, I'll check out your link. I saw the pics that Reuters posted that were yanked, the ones Obama was dangling like a carrot but decided not to show. You can't show pics of something that doesn't exist. Pics of a crashed and burnt high tech helicopter and pics of 3 dead guys-blood,guts and all. But no worse than what you would see in a new movie. I can post the link to the pics but won't unless you say it is ok. Not one pic of bin Laden in that set. Maybe they got the wrong place sort of like cops do here sometimes.

All we have right now is nothing. No real evidence. Just a bunch of heresay and claims by the current administration. I'm still waiting to see the videos of the actual aircraft /missile as described by Donald Rumsfeld that crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11 that the FBI won't ever release due to "National Security". Whatever.

 

I just heard that the Seals rappelled with a dog as to sniff out weapons. I hope he made it back as well....ray:
