bigger valves,smaller stems

    Not meaning to be combative, but is there anything mentioned pertaining to "Ports"?????

    Tom, thanks for the 'hint' about using different retainers and using a higher spring height...that gives more options for spring choices.

    When you say 'larger than 1.900" for the intakes, are you referring to valve diameter or spring installed height? I can see it both ways....big valves won't work on small ports, and high spring retainers can cause clearance problems with rockers.

    Walt I may be guessing but I would put :dollar: on it to mean the valve size. Get the valves to open more and the small difference in valve diameter is not as important. What little room there is between the valves I went for the larger exhaust on our new heads.

    Talking about intake valve diameter. Sorry I wasn't more clear on this.

    Yeah John, in your case being "Pressurized" it would make more sense to try & get as much of the exhaust out in as timely of a manner as possible.
