Many of you are aware of the ignition problems that prevented me from driving my car to the Nats. When I got there in my Rendezvous, Larry found me and informed me that he had brought along two complete distributors for me to take home with me to try and isolate my problem. Buick guys are just great! Thanks Larry!:beer
Anyone that has ever met Larry knows he is one of the good guys. He doesn't know how to be any other way. Larry, thanks for helping out at the show. Duane
Larry and I flew "WingMan" for each other for the ride home. Man.....being on the track is fun, but racing each other home for 8 hours was a HUGE Blast !!! We must have traded the lead at least 50 times on our run home. .....and like a true buddy He (and Ron) was there on the ride home when i needed them - TWICE !!! I spoke with him tonite and he was glad I "teased" him into driving his awsome 70 Stage1 to the event. He loved having his car there He's a class act indeed :beer :beer
That's all well and good, buuuuttttt........someone please tell me why the Moon didn't bring one of his fleet of Buicks to the Nats. I seem to recall he was going to. SISSY!! :moonu:
I've met Larry twice, at Lebadon Valley, NY and at Salem, OH. What a great guy! He's got all these years in as a Buick nut and a ton of knowledge and he talked to me (the newcomer) like I had been around for years myself. When in fact I have'nt even had my car a year. He will ansewer any question you have and always point you in the right direction. Another solid Buick guy. Larry, the Stage looked great!
Larry is THE Man! He's helped many, many of us over the years both in person and in the information he freely shares on this board! Thanks Larry! :TU: :beer
I am proud to say that Larry Hymowitz is my best bud and one person who is always there no matter what you need. Larry and I have only known each other for about five years, but I feel like I've known him forever. His knowledge of Buicks blows me away. He is a person with high moral standards, a good sence of humor, who enjoys our hobby like no one else I know. It's good to be your friend......................( now what do we have to fix on my son-in-laws GS 350 this weekend ? ) P.S. a couple of racks of delicious barbequed spareribs and a cool dip in the ocean will be waitin' for you in the Hamptons, after we finish our work!!!!!!!:TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU:

Hey Paul- One of those distributors ended up my my car last year when mine blew. I was bummed I wouldn't make the Marcus Dairy cruise and Larry went out of his way to come to my house and install and let me borrow his distributor until mine was fixed. Thanks again, Larry! :beer And that's not to mention him giving up a day to come pull my motor last December with a bunch of other great guys! Thanks again, Larry! :beer YOU DA MAN!!
Thank You Everyone for your kind words. You know I really love Buicks, and working on Cars in general. I guess it showsp I enjoyed myself immensely at this 1st BPG Nats. For a first time event, it was nothing short of awesome:TU: I can't imagine how it could be any better, but I know it will be. Wish I could have met more board members at the Nats. You get so involved taking pictures and talking to people you know, that you forget to walk around and look for people you have talked to online but never met. I'll do a better job of that next year! Alan, thanks again for pushing me to take my car, it was everything I hoped for. The ride home was great(minus the standstill traffic jams on Rt. 80 due to construction barriers, and knucklehead truckers who seemed to stop traffic for no reason:af: ) Ron, it's always a blast to go anywhere with you, you keep me laughing all the time. (that's so important in life) And Paul, I'm glad you got your ignition problem figured out. Next year, I'm sure you'll be there with your car. Thanks again everyone!:beer
Larry is definately a top notch guy and a great friend. He's really studied the various ignition systems out there and knows what works best. Plus, he's always there to help anyone. Way to go Larry!:TU:
