Hey Steve, any info on where you went with your exhaust?

    Hi John,
I went with TA Super Comp (TA2014SCHA) headers, TA 3" mandrel (TA2007B) system with Dynomax 17721 mufflers. Engine still being done so not installed yet . Will use Jet Hot on headers after they are fitted.

Great to hear Steve, are those mufflers the 2.5” ultra flows? I think I may have just bought the exact same ones

HAHAHHAHAH. Thanks for the mind bender Larry the Wiz.
When I played your car sound you provided up there it dumps you into another thread. So now my comment for this thread is now in another thread.

3". From what I read, no drone and only loud @ WOT.

I’ve listened to a lot of sound clips of these ultra flos, they sound great everywhere, as well as preserving that quiet idle chop of a larger cam

Same here + they seem to be the least restrictive of all the major brands.

Hey John do you have an X pipe on your Riv? I got Ta shorty headers, magnaflow mufflers, 2.5" mandrel bent pipes that dump out right in front of the rear tires with chrome MBRP tips. I've thought about adding an X to the system but it doesn't look like it will work under there without giving me some serious road clearance problems?

Here's a video of my ride idling! It's a bit blurry but the sound is decent.

I do not have an X pipe, no room. Currently I have Ta shorty headers, the stock 2” down pipe into 2” magnaflow glass packs, into 2.25” tubing out the side just like yours.

In the mail is coming the Ta setup with 2.5” mandrel bent all the way back and I’ll be running Dynomax ultra flows. This better be amazing for the car, it’s the most I’ve spent on anything except for the corvettes side pipes

Also, what is that cam? That sounds more wild than mild, but maybe it’s because the exits are on different sides

I wasn't sure if it was possible to put an X pipe on our cars, everything I've read on here says no because of our X frames. That new exhaust you got coming should sound nice. Not sure exactly what the cam is, the P/O picked it? It's a pretty big cam, I think its along the lines of a big mutha thumper or high energy comp cam. I love the lope and rough idle sound but its hurting the performance for sure. I've put mbrp tips on since that video and it has changed the sound slightly. More so at cruise speed the high drone rumble is gone and I can actually hear what my wife is saying now........not sure that's a good thing lol;):p
