I here that the BF Goodrich Comp TA's are discontinued, mine are like brand new and I am looking for a beefier tire in the rear...245/60/15 or 255/60/15. Does any one have a contact or knows someone that might still have this tire available.

    Any help will be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Ray

I believe that is a bad rumor. The demand for some of the sizes was so great that there was a lapse in the supply line. This is where the facts charged from "not currently available" to "no longer made". I can still buy them locally last itme I checked.

I have called 4 tire outlets and they are all telling me that the Comp TA's are discontinued.

The Comp T/A may not be available, but they still make the T/A in "G-Force" and "Radial T/A". Don't know if it is the same exact tire though. I use "Tirerack.com" althought frequently I find the same price at COSTCOs. They have T/A's. Costco is even giving 4 for the price of 3 right now!!!!

Can you tell me where you found them.

Maybe I can give them a call?

Actually the G Force T/A looks like a nice tire, just too new to see any reviews.

Check this out:" Need help finding the right tire for your ride? Call BFGoodrich® tires directly at 1-877-788-8899 and our expert staff will gladly help you find the right tire for your vehicle and driving needs." You might ask them what took the place of the comp T/A.

    Apples to Oranges, but......

I have been dealing with this lately as well.

Hardly anyone has 255-60-15's in stock in a Radial T/A, and the factory isn't molding any right now either.
Same with Firestone Indy 500's, most sizes are on National back order, and have been since last June. Local Firestone dealer said that whatever 14" tires are left on the shelf are it:shock:
Firestone no longer offer's(or list's) the 245-60-15, so you guy's are going to have to start using the correct size 255-60-15's now.:bla: :bglasses:

This tire shortage is great, isn't it?:af:

What's the price in the United States for white letter 275/60/15 BFG tyres ?
Here in the Netherlands I pay 255 Euros for 1 tyre like this.
    (that's US$ 361.56).

I have seen 295/50x15 BFG TA's for 125-150 Can. The Can. and US dollars are roughly equivalent in value.Likely such tires are cheaper in the US.Just as a point of interest we have three Michelin(which also owns BFG) production facilities here in Nova Scotia. Not quite everything is made in China---yet!!

    Thanks for the info :TU:

We have this Dutch bloke here, he's shipping container loads of used and new parts from Phoenix to the Netherlands.
He's charging 1.5 x the prices paid in the United States, so the Goodyear Eagle GT II at US$ 93.00 will turn out to cost me US$ 139.50 including shipping and tax.

    139.50 US$ = 98.38 Euro
That will save me 156.62 Euro (222.07 US$) on just 1 single tyre, compared with the price for the BFG tyre of the same size :beer

    BadBrad Got 4-speed?

I bought two through Costco just recently. They have horrible runout. Is all anyone can do to balance the garbage. Very disapointing. :(

Have you tried having them match balanced? (I think that is the term)
The more advanced machines can actually tell them to rotate the tire to a better location on the rim to get the best balance.

about 5 years ago i got the last 2 275/60/15 bfg comp t/a's with the "h" speed rating that my local tire store was able to locate and they came from out of state. i still have them in my shed, never mounted. those were the stock tire on the old ss 454 chevy pick up's from the early 90's. not much demand for the "smaller" diameter tires anymore as you see with the regular t/a's not readily available, 14' even more scarce. i sure would like bfg to step up and make a good speed rated, h or v 15" tire for our cars since they can go faster than ever and suspension and brake upgrades are readily available.
