Shari, Thanks for checking on us. Raining real good up by us, watching the radar pretty close, we arent getting any water in the basement though.(Knock on wood)
First summer we were in this house,in 99' we had two "100 year rains" within a week in August. Real bad stuff, closed down the Edens Expy for a couple days at Pratt avenue, tons of folks basements got soaked, including ours which had about three feet downstairs for a day till it went back down. Hopefully my flood prevention measure's will be up to the task.
Beth is more worried about the baby bunnies that populate our yard

Hope you are staying nice and dry down in the "Field of Brooks"

Say hi to the "Burnout King" for us

Time to check the basement again....

Oh and don't forget the Off, the mosquito are probably gettin terrible there, and are gonna get worse in a few weeks when the mosquitos eggs hatch in the puddles.

Thinking of living in a desert to get away from the mosquitos,

  5. i live up in plymouth wi. and the farmer that rents land from me for crops said its a complete lose. prices of feed will be high this year. i have water in my basement like i never had before. my son has his wood shop down there and had to get all his band saws and table saw and everythin out and into the garage up on paletes to keep them dry. i could float a boat in my back lawn. and its raining again. the rain gage said 2.5 inches yeasterday and it just doesn't seem to want to stop today either.

    Greg,
Hope your son got all his stuff to dry land & your basement does not have to much damage. Bummer about the farmer also, it's never good when they lose their crops. My Uncle is a farmer in Fort Atkinson WI, he has lost crops before, never good when that is their only source of income.

    Take care,
    Beth
