Hey Guys , trying to find the part number for a K & N high flow oil filter with the anti drain back valve.
Also interested in what everyone is using these days for filters as well as oil in their street/strip cars.

    Thanks Chris

Thanks Larry , looking for something off the shelf for tomorrow. Just rebuilt the carb today and I want to be proactive after my flooding issue and change the oil and filter.

I went with the Valvoline VR1 , $ 29 for the 5 quart jug. Slim pickings trying to find a decent oil filter on the shelves. I ended up at Napa and got the napa gold 1258. I did see a AC Delco PF24 but my buddy said the quality has gone way down on those , remember that was all we used years ago I used too stock pile them.

    Larry,
it says in the description that it has dual o-ring seals. The smallest is 3" diameter which is too big for the 455. What do you use to over come this?
    Cheers

The O ring kit has more o rings than you need. I think it is meant to cover all the different filters that they make. There are only 2 o rings, one for the mounting, and one for the screw on cap. They last forever! I went many years before I changed them, and when I did so, it wasn't because of leaks, it was because they were on there for so long.

    System 1 or a Wix.
Valvoline synthetic, but the weight will depend on the specs & clearances of the engine. My old engine ran 20/50,but my new engine has 0/10 and is harder to find, but it is starting to show up in stores.
