Agreed. I think i may need to get a new ps belt though. Not sure if the one on there will work.

I am going to get Gates 7512 and a Gates 7490. can anyone confirm if this is correct from the research i have done?

Same pump on both though? This one is so cobbled together with this bracket, i do not feel comfortable.
I assume that bracket allows the pump to swing away from the block more, and is lower so there is no interference with the fan pulley. As it sits, they ran the belt around the fan pulley and down because it will not work the other way with this bracket.

Why don't you just try and use the belt you have? Or, you could just use a piece of rope to wrap around the pulleys. Then measure it.

I understand, but the bracket is wrong. I cannot put the belt from the ps pulley to the crank without it interfering with the water pump pully and touching the motor

Pictures of sighting down you ps belt to the crank so i can see how it looks and the angle that it needs to be?

Like I said, you have at least the wrong Fan pulley, maybe the crank as well. You have to get that sorted out first. Remove the fan and crank pulleys and get the part numbers off them. I can't tell just by looking at them.

These are the pulleys for the 67-70 with short pump and A/C,

The p/n's for them are also stamped on them and are as follows:
    water pump - 1375146 dia. 5 5/8" two groove
    balancer - 1375143 dia. 7 3/8" three groove, with one groove 5 3/4"

The above is right from the linked article I provided you back in post #6,

Yes. The crank pulley just bolts to the balancer.

I believe that pulley number is for a ‘71-‘72 350.

Why is your power steering belt still going around the fan pulley?

That is still the old picture. I have not put on the power steering pump brackets yet, as I just got them. I will get that power steering brackets on and the belts running the correct way. Do you have pictures of how the ps brackets need to attach?

I wonder what would happen if you put the double pulley on the alternator, or simply moved the belt over to the groove being used by your power steering belt. Behind the alternator fan is a spacer. There are various spacer thicknesses as well. You might be able to fix it that way. We need a current picture.
