Well we had our car club Chrissy party (merry Christmas all btw..) last Saturday night, so of course I took Belle. Cruising down Victoria Rd on my way there, I was in the middle lane, between a big bloody bus, and one of the new VW hatches. Victoria rd is so narrow, its stupid. I was sandwiched between the 2, then we went thru a slight right hand bend. Ooh bugger I was thinking as I was trying not to hit the bus, and keep off the VW. THe poor girl in the Dub was :shock: :shock: sh&&ting herself. There was inches in it. Right, Im going to solve this problem. The old girl mustered up all her 210hp, chose 1st gear, and fruggin shot thru from between them like she had something to prove. We came up on a red light, so I stopped, as you do, with the bus on my left, and Dub on the right. I looked at them to say sorry for the fright, but they wouldnt look at me. Fine. as the light went green he stomped on it. Naturally I followed suit. For the first time EVER, Belle spun off the line without aid of tyre shine. We were side by side with me pulling ahead as he was swapping cogs. His front 1/4 panel was at my back door at 55mph when it hit 2nd gear with a chirp. She was on a mission that night! I pulled out at 70mph, being a 70km/h zone with him still at my back door, then slowed for the red light. They both looked at me when they stopped, and I said "hey. My street is next on the right, you mind if I get in front?" They both laughed, and actually let me in when the lights changed! OWNED. :bglasses:
VW arent that popular over here. The new beetles are sort of 'in' withh the sheek city peeps, other than that, there I dont see that many
