    Hey,hello there,

i was following this forum for some time so now i want to introduce myself and my buick. My name is Koen and i'm from belgium,i have a garage a 30 km(18 miles) from brussels.I bought the buick in 2003 and strippped it completely,
It received a frame off restauration as also a partial frame wrap because i build it in to a lowrider. The only thing that is still original(for now) is the engine.(excuse me for the bad english). The car is a Buick Electra 4 door hardtop from 1966 with hydraulics from prohopper.I have tried to put some pictures but i see you have to have first ten posts...:(
So up to the ten posts:bglasses:
    See you guys.

    Welcome!

Every year or two I fly to Brussels and drive to Sint Niklaas (hope I spelled those correctly). Next time I come over, I'll try to touch base and check out the car!

I give props to any Buick owner in Europe, parts are WAY hard to get and the car is a pain to maintain.

    Enjoy the board!

Yeah you spelled it correctly,Sint-Niklaas is fifteen minutes away from me,i'm located in Dendermonde.
It 's very expensiv to restaurate an american car overhere, many pieces off the body,i have to make it myself...Mind you, you'll bee surprised what you are capable off when you are forced into it.
I own and restored also two old mercedes, and it's a VERY BIG difference for getting the pieces off those cars compared with the buick.
The Electra 1966 is a rarely seen car over here, that makes it extra difficult.
But with a little imagination it is no problem.I'm also not alone ,many enthousiasts are obsessed.:3gears:

Thank you all for the props!

    Welcome Koen,
I have seen your car at the Belgian Buick meet, and it looks cool.
I was there with my GS 350.

    Hello Koen
The biggest junkyard for American classics in Europe is actually not that far from you. Its in south <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com[IMG]Europe</st1:place> is actually not that far from you. Its in the south of <st1:country-region w:st=" /><st1:place w:st="on">Sweden</st1:place> in a place called Osby. From the German-Danish border its about a 4-5 hours drive.
Below is a link to their home page,
    http://www.bildelarosby.se/main.htm
    Unfortunately
its only in Swedish, but send them an in e-mail on English asking for what you need, and they will help you out (usa@bildelarosby.se)

Ive been at this yard and I tell you, its HUGE

    Nice ride by the way :TU:Nice]<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "][COLOR=black" /><o:p></o:p>[/COLOR]

Checked out their home page a little more thorough yesterday evening and it seems like they have changed their business direction a little since I was there. The big Yard in Osby now only contains newer American cars.
However, they have bought another yard in Ssdala which only contains the real stuff (cars older than 1975). This yard is actually one hour south of the other one. They have a list of all cars via the link below. Many cars seems to have been emptied of the good parts though.

    <o:p></o:p>
Theres another company in Gothenburg called Yankee Parts which sell engines, transmissions, fenders and other stuff. A tested Buick 455 engine costs about 1300 for ex.<o:p></o:p>
They dont have a home page on internet, only a catalogue.
