hey my local wal-mart has battery cables on clearance there actually pretty decent looking ... anyways... what are the lengths for the 70 or so battery cables. both ground and the one to the starter. I'd be happy with a close length too but i have noidea what they would be. Nate
Hi, Not sure what size it should be, maybe a parts store can help. When I first got my Buick a couple of years ago, I changed my + cable because it looked worn. The one I replaced it with must have been to long. here's why. I went for a ride with my son and I was going at a pretty good clip. Then, everything died, brakes locked up, smoke, motor shut off. I was able to roll off the main street and evaluate as the smoke poured out from under the hood. My battery cable burned up on the exhaust right to the battery and the (-) cable(ouch) becase it must have been to long and wasn't tied to something with a cable tie. Luckily, I was close to home and fixed it within an hour. So, as I am embarrassed to tell this story, the cable length is important!! Bset of luck, Mark
