cleanin up barn , going through some older paperwork etc . came across a folder with some letters back n forth between me and Richard ( feb '78 ) and KB ( oct '76 and about mar '80 ) .
    - I think Richard had a car for sale or something and I sent him a letter . it was sold but he was nice enough to get back to me and included some of his car info , a pic and a couple timeslips from gainsville .
    - had a couple buicks between 76 and 80 and asked KB for a catalog and had some questions for them ( please excuse the rookie questions ) and they sent it back with some red marker notations . is that pop's signature ? and they thanked me for a couple buick info copies I had sent them .
    - and some info , manuals with protect-o-plate , title etc for my 65 . nice letter from an ann taylor in delhi, calif from when I was car lookin . had a cherry lookin 64 for sale . but I had just gotten my 65 a couple weeks before . had put an ad in HR magazine when they used to put ad's in back . couple engine poloroid's from when I was in the 455 mood .
    - pre internet - love it . you had to really work at it not just master a few key strokes .

    Very cool new old find!
I can check and compare Lennie's signature against some of what I have in my car docs...
    Will get to it tomorrow.

I know...old thread, but was searching for another and this popped up.

That is more than likely Ken Betts signature.

So what if it's an old thread. That's great stuff to share. I love old documents and pictures, especially relating to our Buicks. You got me thinking about correspondence I have from Jim Bell from '73 when he was trying to produce iron Stage 2 heads. I had ordered a set and when problems persisted while trying to cast them he offered our money back or we could choose his "Stage 3" heads which were iron S-1 castings and ported in L.A. Of course I went for the heads. Jim was great at keeping his customers updated throughout the process. That's before internet!! I still have the letters from Jim and still have the heads! Standup guy. Had the pleasure of meeting him at the Nat's and he remembered all of it. Keep posting if you find more. That's what makes this site great where we can share everything and preserve the history. (I'll try to post my documents also with some help from friends)
