Exactly, not to mention you start looking at impulse force. It's kinda why it hurts when you bust a knuckle (hand) on a car part (firewall) vs just pushing on the car part (firewall) with the same knuckle when a bolt breaks loose.
so i hit the spindle where the ball joint is at? knowing my car...it probably wont be this easy....she's a stubborn one.
yea smack the spindle bracket between the rubber seal and the nut. But you need to back the nut off a little so it will still keep most of the stuff together. back it off about 1/16" to 1/8" if the parts look rusty and the nut still takes a lot of force to loosen once it's initial 1/4 turn is made maybe loosen a little more (be careful that the ball joint isn't releasing an then there would be no need for a smack) maybe back the nut off so it turns freely and support the lower arm with a jack for safety. It's not nearly as complicated as it sounds. EDIT: you'll hit the spindle perpendicular to the ball joint stud thru the spindle nate
