Took my '65 out to Barona 1/8th mile drag strip yesterday, still playing with progressive nitrous controller, 3rd pass I actually got down the track, on a small, "fat" tune, 5.88 @ 119, 1.36 60 ft. It's coming around..Tried the fogger with 350 shot, that was waaayyyy fat and not a good pass.... Main fuel pump is having issues, so had to order a new one, car is going to Vegas 13-17 for the Street Car Super Nationals. I was super surprised, there was one other Buick Skylark at the track other than me!! Very nice 70-72 running in the 7's. Sorry no videos, I actually ended up going to the track alone, not ideal, but oh well, here's some pics from the track photographer.

Hey Jim. I've taken the car out a couple times, but ET's are alittle off, and I've been having transmission and converter "issues". Car has gone 5.72 in the 1/8th on a 250 shot with the plate unit, fogger was giving me some problems, got those figured out but like I said the trans died, and a snap ring in the converter broke, got both fixed, took the car out and after 7 passes the trans fluid was burnt... Trans came back out and was taken back to the guy who rebuilt it, he found it to look "like new" inside but something was burning the fluid. The converter is on its way back to PTC in Alabama, I'm sure they'll find something broken inside..Car should run 8's in the 1/4 all day, best so far is a 9.19 @ 149mph, good, but is slightly off. Thought I'd be hitting the 2 stages stacked together by now, butnot quite ready yet, and it sucks down alot of nitrous per pass, jetted over 300...

Hey Gary. thanks for the update and sorry to hear you found the weak :"links" in you car. i was thinking that when ppl get their new combos up an running we might start to see these issues. Good luck with your ride and I look forward to hearing about your progress. All the best.
