a friend of mine has a restored 69 chevelle ss396 375 horse with a four gear that apparrently does not like throw out bearings it is on its 3rd in about the 3 to 5000 mile range and this one is around 800 miles old. at first i thot it was a syncro but it makes noise no matter what gear you shift into. any ideas o No: I am wondering if it could be something else.
If the fork is not pulled back all the way when the pedal is released, there will be some pressure on the TO bearing all the time. This could cause premature wear.
