Hey, its been a while since I posted due to a major renovation.

My tranny died on the spring maiden voyage. Turns out the previous rebuilder used such cheap clutch parts that they disintegrated.

When the boys dropped the pan to replace the old rope rear main, low and behold they found a broken bolt in the oil pan.

Not only had the tranny been rebuilt but someone had also failed to clean out the mains properly. The journal bolts had bottomed out prior to seating.

Often when we see cars with low mileage we assume everything is original. Just goes to show when you see crappy work it may just be the tip of the iceberg.

I was pissed off when the tranny died but at least now I won't be putting in a new engine.:TU:
