I hate to ask a stupid question, but I have a burnt out backup lamp in my '67 GS that needs replacing. I tried removing the lens to get at the bulb, but just removing the screws to free the lens didn't work. Knowing that finding a replacement lens is close to impossible to find, I didn't want to force the lens.
So what do I need to do to get at the bulb? Do I need to remove the the backup light assembly from the bumper to get at the bulb? It appears that the wire harness that feeds the lamp is part of the light assembly, so I didn't pull and twist on it too hard. TFM was no help. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I made the mistake of asking a question while a lot of you were at the BPG Nats. I hope you all had fun.
Do I access the bulb by removing the lens, or is there another way to do it? Please help me out before I bust up a perfectly good backup light lens. Thanks for your help!
