When I purchased my '70 skylark (back when I was 16), the previous owner told me he swapped in manual windows and locks "to be more original." We won't say anything about his words.... But anyway, he said the wiring was still there and the motors still in the doors. Should it be pretty easy for me to change it back over to power? Are there some articles for this?

Most importantly, does anyone have some pics of where the switches should go?

The car is 180 miles away from me right now, but my friend is sending pics this week .

Visit our site below for PW install article. Can NOT have motors still in the car since they would be bolted to the regulators and they will not bolt to manual regulators. Verify the door boots are still there. He may been smoking them funny looking cigarettes.

Probably. I was a little naive at 16 and never having turned a wrench, I just nodded to what he said.

Just mount the switches in the holes used for the crank ups. We did that and it was nearly as close as it can be. We did a conversion and that way you can keep the door panels and not have the added expense.
