I have a couple of questions about this intake. 1st and foremost, does it belong to a board member? My second question is, will this fit my 72 motor? I'm going to post a pic of the B4B I previously owned that woudln't fit. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!!
George, If you look at the photos, the sides of the top one are different from the second photo. The 72 and up 455's have plug holes (?) that run along the inside of the head where the intake bolts to. The B4B in the bottom pic wouldn't work on my motor because it would have left the holes exposed.....
Yeah, that is an earlier one...I sold it to a board member last year. You know, I bought that thing in 1989 and I paid $250.00 for it back then....they do seem to hold their value!
Sorry for going a little of track... How come the B4B is WAAAY BETTER than Eldelbrock Performer ? (Specifically!!) A lot of people have said that other than weight reduction with the Performer, (and even Poston's S-Divider) there is little or no performance gain swapping from factory cast-iron. (???) Are the ports to small, or too short or what?? Thanks, sorry for butting in Jeff
