I love the crisp air and blue skies as a backdrop to some beautiful foliage. Here's a few shots from around my yard. Anybody else care to post? I have almost all Oaks, so the colors don't vary that much.

    October is a great month.

Some trees had to go today, unfortunately. This is a pic up the pull line of the biggest one. Yes, it dropped without crushing the house....

Here is one from yesterday, there were alot of leaves from a wind storm but i took care of those pesky leaves. My property has many oaks as well. 4 maples or so. We used have i think a poplar but it was diseased. :( The maple is the one with the green/yellow leaves still, and the oak is the BIG one with few leaves left.

Sorry this is grainy. The REALLY BIG tree off to the right is an oak about 200 years old  Stump is over 3 feet wide. There was an elm tree in front but Dutch Elm Disease killed it.

You're both fortunate to have so many mature trees. The village just planted three sticks in my new parkway. I took nice big trees for granted until I didn't have any.

My last house had a really nice 15 yr old birch tree. I wish I had a couple of those for the corners of my new house.

However, I can do without the maple seeds clogging my gutters each time the wind blows.
