According to an off duty Police officer, parked next to Larry70GS at a car show last week, the Friday Nite Cruise at Bellmore is "BACK".

This was one of the best cruise nites on L.I. attracting about 300 to 400 of the finest machines on the Planet and probably 1000 to 2000 spectators.

It seems after 10 years, someone decided they didn't want us there anymore, this was 3yrs ago and we've been bounced from one place to another, never settling on a good spot.

Now it seems the merchants have made someone see the light. This event was on at dinner time on a Friday nite. Large pockets and hungry people ment "BIG BUCKS" for them and it was taken away. Looks like the store owners must have had a big say in getting this rolling once more.

I sure hope this "NEWS" is true as a bunch of us will be there Friday........Lookin' at the cars.........Lookin' at the bikes.........Lookin' at the Babes.........and seein' all of our Ford, Mopar,Chevy and "you name it" rivals once again!!!!!

    I Can Hardly Wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is far out. I see t=some have been gathering on Atlantic Avenue off of Sunrise in Lynnbrook; but not even close to the magnitude of Bellmore.

Better be a hot sunny day and cool summer eve this Friday; or else.

I was talking to Larry and he had mentioned about that cruise starting back up. That is great news! I'll have to make a point to cruise down there with my Stage 1. Definately going to have to make plans to go there.:TU:

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

FOr those that have never been - Its held in a VERY LARGE train statin parking lot. Despite the size of the lot, it fills up VERY QUICKLY.

In its hayday, if you got there any later than 6p, the police closed off the entrance to the lot because 1) most spots were already filled up and 2) there were sooo many people walking around that even just idling around the lot looking for a space was cause for concern form a safetly standpoint.

Several times I arrived at 6:30 and had to park in the next lot over or down one of the towns side streets - No kidding aside, on a good but typical nite I'd say there were 800-1000 cars in and around the area. Everything from your basic old iron, to new muscle, to 8 second street machines, wild Kustoms, beautiful Old stuff (20's, 30's 40's) even some wierd stuff like Amphibians and old WWII convoy trucks, fire trucks etc.etc.etc.

....And this isn't an "Organized" once a year event !! its just everyone out for a Firday nite Cruise - SuperSized !!!!

Serious $$$$ cars abound - Saleen S7's, BMW Z8's, Ferrari's , Lambo's, Hemi SuperBirds, Original owner '68 Shelby GT500KR's.....the list goes on and on and on

I seriously hope its back for good as HotRod mag listed it once as one of the top 10 Cruise nites in America !!!

A few of our guys ,including my son with his "mint" XKE, made the trip to Bellmore only to join about 15 other cars. Seems no one knows if this is gonna' happen or not.

Sorry for any inconvenience.......I"ll keep you informed if I hear anything.

P.S. Any complaints or fuel bill reimbursments should be directed to LARRY70GS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
