On eBay right now is a seller selling tubular upper and lower front control arms. They aren't hotchkis but they are not hotchkis prices. Buy 1 or the other at 175.00 with 25.00 shipping via ups or get both pairs for 350.00 (they have a discount if you buy both pairs). They are made buy a company called procomp. This is a good deal so get them while they last. I'm pretty sure the hotchkis control arms are 1400.00 for the upper and lower together. Hope this helps everyone out.
Summit had front uppers on sale with ball joints, shafts and all hardware last month for $199 I think for the pair. I got the pieces and they had "ridetech by airride" stamped on them. I looked up a picture or two and they look just like the Ridetech Shockwave UCAs. I guess Summit farms out their UCAs to Ridetech, so I scored them for just under half the cost of "real" Ridetech control arms. :TU: $350 for a complete set is a decent price as long as the quality is there. I picked up my lower control arms from UB machine and they're some beefy pieces with spherical ends and spacers. I should post some pics. They cost all of $159 per side IIRC. UB Machine makes stuff for NASCAR and they make them when you order them, so it takes 4-6 weeks for the parts to arrive.
I bought a set of tubular upper and lower control arms on eBay last month for $269.00! They had everything including ball joints, and the metal piece that attaches to the UCAs to the frame! Looks exactly like what Speedway sells for a lot more. My 67 Skylark just got its body back on the frame and won't be back on the road for several months. So, I don't know how much they will help at this point.
sry it took so long. But yeah i personally think they were worth it. All new ball joints and greasable bushings. They even have sway bar mounts on them and those rubber isolators for the springs to.:TU:
Appears (judging from picture in this link http://www.procompusa.com/info/aboutus.aspx ) only head office may be in USA. And for sure this building is no way sized larged enough for actually manufacturing. Could be wrong but venture to say they only lease enough space to cover actual USA headquarters. Only those who have bought recently from them can tell where products are made. Would like to know.....if some who did would share that tibit with all here.
