Need a set of Pearl White arm rests for a 70 GS. I know the're hard to find in good shape. Just thought I'd try. Have a set out of a Catalina that I'm getting ready to paint but I'd rather not.
Robert, You need to use SEM Super White then follow it with a cover coat of Pearl. You can get the Pearl from www.thepartsplaceinc.com
Is there a prep paint that I should use prior to that? I thought I read something about a vinyl prep that you need to use prior to the paint. BTW got with Scott on the wheels. Thanks for your help on that one. Robert
The only prep is a cleaner that removes wax/grease/armorall. You can get it from Autozone. Made by Kleen Strip, I believe Or, go to any auto paint store and get RM901 Pre-Kleano or Dupont Prep-Sol. Spray a couple light coats of SEM 15103 Super White followed by 2 coats of pearl topcoat.
