    Guys:

    I am planning a junkyard excursion in hopes of finding some
    15 X 8 steel wheels for the Apollo. I want to paint the wheels body color and dress them with poverty caps. Is there variations of the Buick 15 X 8 non-mag wheel? Do all steel wheels accept trim rings and poverty caps? Is the Buick bolt pattern similar to other GM makes?

    Since poverty caps are so popular, I may just settle for chrome lugs and leave it at that. The car is Buick red so the wheels should look pretty cool (IMO).

    Should I just stick to 15 X 8 rallies?

    Thanks for your input.
    :)

    Hi;
    I have a '41 Chevy that I'm doing the same thing with.
    I have 15X8's on the rear and 15X6's on tha front.
    For the rear wheels I used wheels from a '88 Chevy Police car, but they have the 5 on 5 bolt pattern. But I used that rear axle also, so no problem.
    Your car probably has the 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern and I'm not aware of any standard 15X8 GM wheel with the small pattern.
    Maybe the 80's fullsize rear drive GM sedans. Some of those had 15" wheels with the small bolt pattern, but I don't know about 8" wide.
    You may have to go aftermarket.

    Happy Hunting
