I'm in for $1,000. We just need 2,000 more guys to pony up and we'd be in business. Or would that be hot water, with our wives!?!? :Smarty:
I dunno.... Seems like I've seen this auction a couple of times, with different descriptions.... Fishy??? o No:
I'm in for a G $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ MAN......... talk about a gold mine :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: I've seen it up for auction before too uzzled:
The land is useless after you part out all the cars, all the environmental aspects of those old leaky cars. It differs from area to area, but you could be on the hook for a lot of fees and charges to clean that place up.
I'll put in a thousand!! Lets see, 7200 members...that'll get us $7.2M. Easily meet his asking. Real hard to say no to this kind of cash. Be lots to buy it, then hire somebody for a while to sort it all out & sell. We can all have our very own Stage 1 ragtop when it's all done!!
That's exactly what I was thinking... Why wouldn't he start selling stuff??? Could it be that if he starts to actually sell stuff, that he will be subject to all sorts of licensing, permitting, fees, regulations... who knows what else??? EPA can be a B!$#^. He may have been able to get away all this time by saying its a "Personal collection"... now selling it off in one big shot, but you have to take the land too. Now you come along & try to sell stuff, and WHAMMO... here comes uncle sam with his hand out :blast: :blast: Should probably ask a couple of "Yard Owners" and see what kind of Gov. BS they have to pay to operate before considering buying that place. Thats just my uneducated guess tho... I could be completly off o No: But still suspicious that he wouldn't sell some of the High $$ rare items himself for extra cash.
