I don't know a lot about Buick race cars. Is "Little Joe" and famous one? I was speaking with the current owner of this car and it is for sale. Apparently it is still race ready. It has 1,648 miles. A true Stage 1 car with 10/10 paint code. He's looking at $20,000. If anyone's seriously interested let me know and I will pass on his phone number. I don't think he wants a bunch of calls from people who aren't serious. Harvey
Little Joe thread from a few months ago. That would be a sweet car to get ahold of. :TU: :beer Seems that he only wanted like $14,500 last August though. o No: Another thread
Hi Guys, Sorry about the duplication. Not knowing a lot of Buick racing history I didn't realize the car had been offered before. Maybe this guy bought it last year for 14,500?? The car is now in Colorado. The same guy also has a Diplomat Blue Stage 1 with the proper BB trans and replacement Stage 1 engine (no numbers). Engine, trans, etc. in excellent condition. He says it needs about $5,000 in work including quarters and some interior work to make it perfect. He wants $7,500 for the car. I got talking to him because I found out he owned my 71 GS convert for 18 years in the 1980's. I wanted to find out some history on my car and wound up talking with him for 40 minutes! Harvey
Does anyone have any additional information on the "Little Joe" car? Did it get sold and relocated to Colorado? Who owns it now? What are the details if it is for sale? Thanks,
Harvey, Might be a bit careful there on posting a car for sale. I just got off the phone will the actual owner of the cars you are talking about here, NOT his dad(the gentleman you were talking too). Little Joe is NOT for sale at this time. Larry and I just had a nice little chat and, while I guess, if someone were to offer enough(read alot), everything is for sale. In any case. Little Joe will be back up and running soon for anyone interested, and it WILL :beer be at the Great Plains Challenge in Kearney this summer. In fact I have agreed to help get the car back into racing shape for this summer, as it has been sitting for a few years now as we all know. First issue at hand, from what Larry told me, the rear needs some attention. Who'da thought a Buick could hurt a rear, lol. So....... it won't be long and we will see a piece of Buicks racing heritage back on track and running hard. Check it out at Kearney this year................ later...................,
Don, What kind of info are you looking for ? The car is sold and it is being stored in Colo. now. The new owner lives about 30 miles from me here in Kansas. His name is Larry. According to my phone call just a few minutes ago, it is NOT for sale. Hope this helps....... later........................
I was speaking with Larry's father last night. He is the one who told me the car was for sale for $20,000. He did tell me that Larry was the owner of the car. At this point I think we should just close this thread! Sorry for the confusion. Harvey
