Mine didn't line up either. You have to drop the engine in with the motor mounts attached to the motor and the frame pads bolted to the mounts. Set it down in there on the frame then mark where you are going to drill the holes. I found out with mine that I only needed to elongate the top two holes. I only pulled the motor in and out, ummm, about 6 times until I got it right. There is a very detailed thread on this forum that explains it. If all else fails, maybe I'll stop by and give you a hand.

Welcome to the board by the way...

The pads, while they will fit a G-body (correct angle so that the crossmember meets the engine mount) are not bolt in parts. You have to make your own holes.

Check out the FAQ (sticky at the top of this forum) for a discussion on levelling, centering and drilling in the pads.

... Yulp... Poston's chassis mounts are the same issue. I had to drill 2 additional (1 per side) for the c-mounts to work. The same ... attach the mounts and pads, lower the motor/tranny, spray-paint around the chassis mounts, raise the motor/tranny again and drill additional holes from that "painted" template. I remember the "swivel-rachet" issue in the tiny hole in the chassis for the fuel/brake lines  .

Thank God it all worked... and Thank God I do it all again in July this year.

    Buckle-Up!! :TU:
