Anyone sell old plates?

i'm looking for some '72 plates so i can register my car as a historic vehicle (nice reduction on the insurance too along with never having to register it again.. $$$)

i've decided to go with hagerty insurance i just wanna get the plates, transfer the car to my name (currently in my dads name for insurance price reasons before)... so if anyone here sells old plates i'd prefer a set of front and back from the '72 model year. if anyone can point me to someone who is reasonable or someone here sells them either respond here or PM with details. thanks again guys... someone can feel free to move this thread to the wanted section too, i just wanted to get some eyes on it for faster response as i wanna get it done soon.

Antique stores have boxes of them. They're usually pretty dirty though.

 

I got mine on ebay. They'll run about $20 or so for a nice set.

I saw that Painekiller (Doug Paine) has some in the parts for sale section, might be all Ohio though.

i have one going on ebay right now.. please no one screw me lol... $37 or so for NOS '72 plates.. apparently they're half-year plates as they never really made '72 plates in michigan they just used '71 plates with a '72 sticker... they look like brand new.. anyone got a good price for something like this?

 

ok.. got my plates won on ebay.. coming from grand rapids.. $37 and some change.. NOS '72 plates that from this guy says never issued
