I am considering swapping our 71 for a tubbed Nova in WI.
We've swapped pics this week, and he's still interested, and I'm still 50% interested.
I really don't like the body style of the Nova (1975) at all, but it appears to be a pretty well built race car, and is complete minus motor/trans. Perfect for my BBC.

I'm wondering if there's anyone close that could look the car over for me. Just to get a better feel for the quality of the car.
I'm not looking for a 100 point inspection or anything.... just an unbiased opinion on the overall condition of the car, and to be sure it's not a backyard pile, ready to fall apart.

If you're close, and willing, please send me a PM.
Notice how I said I'm only 50% interested... hopefully somone lives real close. I don't want anyone spending too much time on this.
    Thanks!

All I know at this point is the zip code. But a quick look at Yahoo shows that Gregg is right - the Van Dyne area.

    Hey Rick,

I'm NOT a "CHEVY" guy, AT ALL, but they are still "GM", so I still consider them, if the deal is right! I buy ALL of the '70-'72 GS's that I can find in the area, FIRST, HOWEVER, when THIS came along, I just COULDN'T pass it up:

One owner (old lady), '73 Nova, 305.
    Second owner REPLACED/INSTALLED:
NEW suspension (ALL springs, shocks, bushings, etc.)
NEW 350-4, ALL Edelbrock (AC, Intake, VC, Heads, Headers, Cam/lifters, etc.) Less than 500 Miles since installation!:TU:
    NEW (rebuilt) TH350 Street/Strip
    NEW Brakes
    NEW Grant Wheel
NEW ARE Wheels and BFG Tires
    NEW Sony AM/FM/CD with Remote

ALL for $1,500!:eek2: No one else went to look at it! They thought it was a "junk" car. Since I bought it, I've had OFFERS to buy it (up to "$7,000"). I won't sell it (for a while, anyway).

I had to "improve" it, though, since it IS a "CHEVY" (I added the Stage 2 Scoop!:TU: ):

At first, I didn't "like" the car, either, but I couldn't pass it up for the "deal". As I've been Driving it and Looking at it DAILY, it really DOES look kind of "Sporty". It takes some getting used to, though. It's NOT an "A-Body"! That's the hardest thing for ME to overcome!

I think you might like it, when you build it the way YOU want to! That will make the difference. If you're trying to "trade" your car for another car, that's not a bad deal, either. You'll be getting rid of one you DON'T want, for one that you "MIGHT" or DO want! I hope you get it, if it sounds like a good deal!:TU:

I like your Nova Scott. :TU:
Thats about the last year that I like though.
Sounds like you got a great deal on it too.

This one is a 75.... Totally different style.
I really don't like it, but you can't argue with the price much. It's "professionally" :Do No: backhalved (ladder bar, not 4-link), MSD ignition with rev limiter and 2 step, all the gauges, Griffen alum radiator with dual electric fans, Mallory fuel pump, brand new strange axles and richmond spool & gears, fiberglass hood/bumpers/deck lid, 12 point cage, "painless" wiring and fuseblock, etc... even the 5 point harness and window net is still current. It's been sitting without an engine since Thanksgiving.
It's ready to go! Even comes with BBC and SBC headers.

It's just pretty far away... and I'm having a real hard time coming to terms with the body style (and color). We'll see... :Do No:
